The Relationship Between Religion and Income

My father once said that education was not good for Christians because it made them doubt God. Fundamentalists are the ones most likely to deny a child an education. There is a provable correlation between education and income. The Pew Research Center published a report in 2016 that looked at income across multiple religious affiliations. Specifically, they looked at what % of a group earned $100K or more per year.

According to this data, the more fundamental the believer’s doctrine (often equating to restrictive and insular), the less the believers earn. It could also suggest that those with fewer economic resources are more likely to adopt a fundamental religious lifestyle.

Parents should fully understand that the adoption of some of the more fanatical religions can likely damage their child's earning potential for the rest of their lives.
